Margeride

Located in the northeast part of the department, Margeride is distinguished by its granitic reliefs, shaped since the Palaeozoic.

At the heart of the famous Legend of the Beast of Gevaudan, its eventful past gives it a rich cultural and vernacular heritage. The landes, meadows and pastures are punctuated by dense conifer and deciduous forests, where rivers and streams, flow peacefully.

Culminating between 1000 and 1500 meters, this land of secrets with its chaotic decor is a haven of peace.
